The Women Development Department (WDD) Balochistan has officially announced an interview call for candidates who applied for the key post of Ombudsperson under advertisement PRQ No.496/26-09-2022. This position falls under the mandate of the Government of Balochistan to uphold the Protection Against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act and aims to promote a safe and secure work environment for women across public and private institutions.
The Ombudsperson is a critical role entrusted with the authority to investigate, adjudicate, and ensure justice in matters related to workplace harassment. Candidates who had applied earlier are now required to appear for the final interview round at the designated date and venue.

The role of the Ombudsperson is central to creating a dignified, harassment-free environment for women employees. The selected candidate will:

Conduct inquiries into complaints of workplace harassment.

Provide recommendations and legal decisions based on Pakistan’s harassment laws.

Ensure compliance with all legal provisions under the relevant Act.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (BS or equivalent) in Law, Social Sciences, or related fields. Higher education (LLM, Master’s in Human Rights or Gender Studies) will be an advantage.
- Experience: Previous experience in legal matters, gender rights, or public administration is preferred.
- Nationality: Only Pakistani citizens are eligible to apply.
- Gender: Applications are welcomed from both males and females.
