The Engineer in Chief Branch, GHQ Rawalpindi, is calling for applications from Pakistani Nationals (Male only) for the following positions, with the required qualifications and experience as specified:
- Charge Hand E&M Grade-I (BPS-7) – 10 Positions
- Charge Hand B&R Grade-I (BPS-7) – 9 Positions
- Charge Hand E&M Grade-II (BPS-6) – 10 Positions
- Charge Hand B&R Grade-II (BPS-6) – 17 Positions
- Switch Board Attendant (BPS-6) – 12 Positions
- Air Conditioner/Refrigerator Mechanic (BPS-6) – 5 Positions
- Lineman (BPS-6) – 8 Positions
- Electrician (BPS-6) – 22 Positions
- Lift Operator (BPS-6) – 20 Positions
- Gas Fitter (BPS-6) – 8 Positions

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES

Candidates must apply online via the official website www.mes.gov.pk. Screenings (written) and skill tests will be conducted at the Karachi center.

The screening test will be an objective type exam encompassing Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, English, General Knowledge, and relevant subjects based on the position applied for.

The exam will be processed through Optical Mark Reader (OMR) machines. Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the procedure.

Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews before the final selection.

Government employees, including those from MES, must apply via the online job portal and submit their No Objection Certificate (NOC) through their department, including their current service number, rank, and work location.

Applicants will be required to pay an online-generated challan fee of Rs. 1000/- at any Askari Bank branch, UBL Omni, or Easypaisa. The last date for fee submission is April 10, 2025.

Bank drafts and postal orders will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Age relaxation will be granted as follows:
- Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, and recognized tribes from Tribal Areas, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan: 3 Years
- Candidates from Sindh (Rural) and Balochistan for positions in BPS-15 and below: 3 Years
- Retired or Released Armed Forces personnel: 15 years or years served, whichever is less
- Government servants and contract employees with two years of continuous service: 10 Years
- Widows, sons, or daughters of deceased civil servants: 5 Years
Candidates are entitled to age relaxation only in one category.

The age of candidates will be calculated from the closing date for application submission, i.e., April 5, 2025.

Candidates must present the following documents in original and certified copies during the interview:
- 3 recent passport-sized photographs
- Educational qualification certificates (attested)
- CNIC (attested copy)
- Domicile verification from the respective district
- Experience certificates (if applicable)
- Discharge certificate from the Armed Forces (if applicable)
