Selection Process
Written Test: After the application period, FGEI will scrutinize all submissions and shortlist eligible candidates for a written test. The written test will assess subject knowledge and teaching aptitude. It is scheduled to be conducted in major cities including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Peshawar, and Quetta. The exact date, time, and venue of the test will be communicated via the FGEI online portal (candidates should regularly check their portal log-in account for updates). Shortlisted applicants must download their Roll Number Slip from the portal and bring a printed copy along with their CNIC to the test center. No TA/DA (travel allowance) is provided for attending the test.
Interview & Final Selection: Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for an interview. Interview call letters (or portal notifications) will be issued to successful test candidates, indicating the schedule and venue. During the interview, applicants must present all original documents for verification, including academic certificates, CNIC, domicile, and B.Ed degree. Candidates working in government departments (if any) should also provide a fresh No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of interview. The final selection will be made based on the candidates’ performance in the test and interview, and upon thorough verification of credentials.
After the interviews, merit lists will be prepared and offer letters issued to the selected candidates. Newly hired teachers will then complete any necessary joining formalities. The selected individuals can be posted anywhere in Pakistan at FGEI schools/colleges (not limited to Islamabad), as per the needs of the department.
Note: No travel allowance (TA/DA) is admissible for the test or interview stages.

Important Instructions & FAQs
Q: Are these FGEI teaching jobs permanent or contract-based?
A: These positions are contractual. Initially, appointments are made for one year only. However, the contract is extendable for an additional year if required, based on performance and institutional needs. There is no automatic permanent induction; candidates cannot claim regularization of these jobs in the future.
Q: Can government employees apply for these posts?
A: Permanent employees of the federal or provincial government are not eligible to apply. If you are currently a government servant on deputation or contract (non-permanent), you may apply after obtaining proper permission. All government-employed applicants (who are not disqualified by the above) will need to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department at the time of interview.
Q: What is the last date to apply?
A: The deadline to submit the online application is May 19, 2025. Make sure to complete your registration on the FGEI portal before this date – late submissions will not be accepted.
Q: What documents are required for the online application?
A: You need scanned copies of your CNIC (ID card), a recent passport-size photograph, your educational certificates/transcripts (Bachelor’s/Master’s degrees and B.Ed or equivalent diploma), and your domicile certificate. Ensure each document is clear and readable before uploading. You do not need to send any documents by post – just upload them online through the portal.
Q: How will I know about the written test or interview schedule?
A: After the application period, keep checking the official portal. Shortlisted candidates will be notified through the induction2025.fgei.gov.pk online portal (via your login account) about the written test date and venue. You will have to download your Roll Number Slip from the portal, which will contain your test details. Similarly, interview invitations will be sent (via call letter, email, or portal notification) to those who pass the test, with information on the interview venue and date.
Q: Will any TA/DA be given for the test or interview?
A: No. The organization will not provide any TA/DA (travel or daily allowance). You must make your own arrangements to attend the written test and interview.
Q: Where will the selected teachers be posted?
A: The FGEI (Cantts/Garrisons) runs educational institutions in various cities (primarily in cantonment areas) across Pakistan. If selected, your posting can be anywhere in Pakistan where FGEI schools/colleges exist – not necessarily in Islamabad. Posting will be decided by the department based on its requirements, so candidates should be willing to serve in any region of the country.
Q: Can I apply for both SST and TGT positions?
A: Yes, you can apply for both SST and TGT posts if you meet the eligibility criteria for each. You will need to submit a separate application for each position on the portal. (For example, if you possess both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree and wish to compete for both levels, you must fill out two application forms.)
Q: Who is not eligible or what can disqualify my application?
A: Individuals who have been dismissed or removed from any organization (government or private) on disciplinary grounds, or those with a criminal record, are not eligible to apply. Moreover, any candidate who is found to have submitted false information or fake documents at any stage will be disqualified (and may face legal consequences). Always provide accurate and truthful information in your application to avoid disqualification.
